Well, I figured it was time to try to make my own music instead of just putting up other people's great songs. I welcome all feedback! I really want to get better at this.. PS...Why is it so hard to get a screencapped video uploaded to RUclips to be the right aspect ratio??? I captured it in BB FlashBack and then converted the video in Format Factory to 16:9 to get it to show right.

That cello entrance at 0:40 is immaculate. I wonder how Mancini would have done now with all of the tools and electronics available to him. The man really knew the texture, color, and mood of every instrument. I think he would have been alongside people like Giacchino and Zimmer in terms of popularity and film effect. From what I can hear, he uses less to say more, especially compared to his contemporaries at the time. His scores are incredibly non-invasive, just like Zimmer, and he lifts up the atmosphere without letting the music get in the way of the film. There really are very, very few film composers that understand how to do that. Mancini was one of them.
